Wonderful Day Out
      #3924 - 25/10/2008 17:25

I had a wonderful day out shooting pigeon yesterday. There was a good wind and a bit of lovely warm sun on my back. I set up in stubble field and although I only got 19 pigeons and six crows, what made the day was the display put on by mother nature. As well as the beautiful autumn colours, I had a flock off ten curlews flying around me, six pheasants gliding over the pattern and a stoat running past with a mouse in it's mouth. Then as a grand finale, a sparrowhawk swooped down onto the decoys but was chased off by a single crow - who after a minute or so was joined by three of his mates. What a day....roll on the next outing!
