For all the fowlers out there
      #1281 - 07/03/2007 15:55

While you may be despondent that the season's just finished, don't despair, hopefully you'll find there's still plenty to talk about during the close season.

To improve the Shooting Times forum, hopefully to make it easier for users to find subjects of interest to them, we have split it up into individual sections of specific interest to our readers. So if you've got anything to discuss, whether it's putting the Brent back on the quarry list, or you're looking to get into wildfowling, then this is the place to do it.

Please feel free to get involved and talk to one another, as well as us at Shooting Times through these pages.

Enjoy the forum,

Alastair

Seeing that it is almost the start of the 2007 season, I cannot hardly wait!

My 3 inch Hevishot cartridges, have arrived together with a couple of boxes of Bismuth BB's and I hope my ratio will be a little better than last year!

wintering diving ducks [Re: Rich]
      #2136 - 16/11/2007 20:08

is everyone out there noticing the dwindiling numbers of redheads, scaup, tufties and goldeneye or is it just here on lough neagh?? there used to be thousands upon thousands of ducks wintering here.when they would rise they would come off the lough in flocks off thousands and darken the skies. now we are lucky to see a flock off 100...is climate change the problem or are greedy wildfowlers to blame??it is a sad fact that although here on lough neagh we are so lucky to have these birds as quarry we take them for granted and over shoot them!! or could it be that the natural feeding here isnt as plentifull as it was???
