having shot a fair few geese over the years and watched countless thousands more,i was extreemly supprised at the size of the grey i shot this evening on morecambe bay.it is huge it wheighs 11lb5oz or 5.155kg i have weighed lots over the years.its the fisherman in me i think.but this is by far the bigest.i whould be intrested if any one else has heard or seen of a greylag as big before.

That's a whopper — given that the BTO figures give a typical weight of 3.6kg for a male.
Personally, I'm not a greylag expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I daresay someone out there will be able to challenge you for the title of "biggest in the bag"!

cant beat that m8 had one just over 7lb's this season but 11lb5oz that must of been a fair old lump to fit in the oven!!
