is it a straight pull ?? My take on this is that the D.O.M is less than significant as far as information about the rifle is concerned. I don't have the D.O.M for the newer version and the company Mauser has been sold and absorbed by at least 3 major manufacturing conglomerates in the last few decades. In fact, the Mauser trademarks and logos have been licensed to other companies and placed on products not manufactured by Mauser at all. My memory of this rifle from reading several articles reviewing the rifle on its release was that all manufacturing was within a two year period of 1996 to 1997. These were not manufactured in large numbers nor were they even remotely popular here in the States. This is reflected in the discount pricing that has been offered by several companies used to dispose of the inventory. I happened to like the rifle simply from the standpoint of its unique design. The function shooting that I did was fine but the accuracy left something to be desired. I admit I was limited to shooting factory ammunition though. There is one for sale right now listed at £899.00 but I've seen them as low as £549.00 . Best. |
