Hi Shaun.
I have used a Lanber for 15 years for both clay and rough shooting in all weathers and i have only had one minor problem with the gun.
£400 should get you a decent lanber,I am not to sure about the price of beretta perhaps another member can help.
my wife uses a beretta 682 and has never had any trouble with the gun.
