Greetings from across the pond

Found my way to this web site while looking for reloading info. I was under the impression that all gun ownership had been banned in Great Britain. Glad to see that you all still able to own, shoot, and hunt. Here in northern B.C. Canada my wife and I are looking forward to opening day Sept 10 for moose, mule deer, whitetail, and black bear. Elk is already open in some M.U.
The wife has just passed her C.O.R.E. course and has her hunters number so she is now able to buy her license and tags.
I bought her a Remington 700 30/06 BDL and stuck a Leupold VXlll 4.5X14-50MM with Boone&Crockett aiming system. So far she is doing ok and can ring the bell at 100 yards off the bench using 180gr Federal Premium ammo. Not bad for a new shooter. Got to get her off the bench in the offhand shooting position and ready for the field. I shoot a Weatherby 300 Mag Mark V and have the same scope configuration that the wife has. I sure do like the Leupold glass for the money you can't go wrong and they do stand up to heavy recoil of the big magnum loads.
