I wish you luck. I've been shooting for many years with loads of experience. Pest control is very hard to get in my experience as a few shooters have enormous areas under their control, more than they can possibly do service to.

Devon is also hard to get land as there are lots of shooters chasing it, dont give up though as some will come given time. I have a few hundred acres there.

If you can try and get along side a keeper or help out beating on a shoot for a season, this can open some doors.

I must admit that I do agree in part with Kevs comments about a few shhoters getting greedy and taking on far too much acreage for one man to look after.

There is one chap I know of who has thousands of acres of land to his name for deer, fox, and pigeon control - how on earth can he mange this much land effectively on his own?

Keep going, there are always ways to find shooting. As one of the other guys suggested, get to know local keepers etc and get involved. Networking is a great way of increasing your number of shooting opitions.

Good luck

Probably lends/hires it out to his mates and doesn't really care f he is doing a decent job or not.
Keep aking, and when you do get a bit, work hard and it will be noticed and more land will come your way.
Good luck

As I've said before, it is not what you know, but who you know.
I, Myself have around 6,000 acres shooting access, but this is just because I enjoy going beating alot, and being friendly with local keepers, I go out and lend hands when the chicks come in and when placing the realease pens.

It's alot eaiser to give shooting permission to someone you know, and like, than some total stranger.
