Where to get a Game Book

Does anyone know of a supplier of game books (to record events, etc) ?. Preferably one that could include fishing as well as shooting and won't cost a fortune.

Something for the offspring to laugh at when I'm gone !!

Thanks,

Andy [hr]

Re: Where to get a Game Book

Try ringing William Powell & Son in Birmingham on 0121 643 0689 - they sell several different ones, but by far the best is "The Country Sportsman's Record Book and Journal" at £25 plus postage. (Catalogue page 14, ref 284A)

It's not cheap, but it is beautifully produced, and includes a different shooting or fishing quotation at the head of every page. Believe me, it's worth the money - and with 224 pages, it'll last you for several seasons.

Most of the other game books look more like a page from an accounts book rather than a record of some of the best hours of your life.

Have a good season, regards from James in Devon [hr]
