Second hand gun (and advice) for new starter wanted

Hi,

Thank you for the advice on my previous post. I have been down to my local gun shop and had a look at their stock and I have also called a couple of gun shops regarding their stock.

As I am 6.2" and have high cheek bones, I have been told by several sources to get a second hand o/u that fits me, I will be looking at an outlay of £500 to £700.

Being new to the sport, and looking to buy my first gun, I'm sure you could imagine how this has gone down. I have been keeping an eye on Guntrader but there doesn't seem to be a great deal of scope for a gun that will fit me for around £300.

Is there anyone out there around Oxfordshire or Somerset (or close by) that has a well looked after entry level 28/30 o/u with a long stock and high comb that is collecting dust? I'm looking to invest around £300.

Being new to the sport and really keen, I'm hoping someone out there may be able to help me out to get started.

If anyone has any advice at all, I would welcome your thoughts.

Cheers

Thats going to be very difficult but you need to look out for a Lanber, a Lincoln, a Laurona, a Rizzini,or possibly an old Miroku 800 to fit the price. My advice is get a Lanber, good gun for little money. Or try a semi-auto, they will be a better deal at that price. Some very good second- hand auto`s out there for that money. Some auto`s have shims to adjust the height of the comb/stock. See if you can try one or two somewhere, they are very good.
