waxed cotton hunting "kilt"

years back, House of Braur in Scotland offered a waxed/oiled cotton "kilt" for use afield. I live in the states - would anyone know who currently manufactures these? House of Braur does not offer them in their catalog. I believe they are also used for equine sports.

thanks in advance,
Ryan

Re: waxed cotton hunting "kilt"

Dear Ryan,

Sorry for the delay in replying. I think I know exactly the kind of thing you are talking about. They're a rare beast, and unfortunately the kind of thing that would best be picked up at an event like the CLA Game Fair, where all the UK's country clothing suppliers can be found in one place, but I imagine that's not practical for you.

I've done a quick search on the internet, and found this which I guess is close to your requirements:

www.bestinthecountry.co.uk/Mens_Waterproof_Skirt_5991.aspx

Also I'm fairly sure the nice people at Nomad UK do something similar — they make very practical waterproof kit. Their website's not outstanding, but you will find contact details at http://nomaduk.net

I hope that helps, and good luck.

Yours, Alastair
