I got sent this this morning the opinion poll in the Bradford Telegraph & Argus is slipping away from us slowly but steadily. It's important because that paper is covering the Ilkley Moor issue so it would be good for that campaign if we could win it with a good margin. Remember, when they were trying to ban hunting the League said they had "no plans" to campaign to ban shooting. Now they're campaigning to ban shooting, they have "no plans" to campaign to ban angling... http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/3586254.Who___s_game_for_shooting_/ Vote, and spread the word |

Thanks for pointing that one out Dave. The article associated with the poll is actually very interesting and positive. It features the usual "Not-so-Glorious-Twelfth" tedium from anti-shooting interests, but overwhelmingly the writer Marc Meneaud has managed to point out the benefits of shooting rather than the default controversy story he could so readily have slipped into. Sitting here in Nova Scotia, I'm somewhat distant from the Bradford Telegraph & Argus poll, but if I weren't I'd be rounding up every relative, acquaintance, and passerby I could to vote on the pro-shooting side. Of course, I haven't seen Marc Meneaud's piece but I'm happy to go along with Alastair's assessment thereof. Still, a positive assessment of the article wouldn't deter me from an energetic approach to voting. Good luck, lads. |
