Springer pup advice
      #3057 - 27/04/2008 21:17

hi

looking at getting springer pup.
not sure if its ok to leave at home during the day. i will be at home with it for the first month but then it will be left during the day. It will be walked morning, lunch and evening. but i have read that springers should not be left alone for very long.
Does anyone have any advice/experience about this.

Thanks

Hi Matt
My experience is that a springer would be fine under those circumstances providing you will genuinely be able to walk it as often as you say and that it will receive plenty of contact with you when you are at home ie it will need to live in the house when you are at home. Make sure its in a run when youre not there so that it can move around a bit and cant chew anything you dont want it to. Give it lots of exercise and tlc when you are at home and it should be fine
John
