Rifle Lamps
      #3331 - 21/06/2008 17:47

Hi guys.
I'm a new member on here and wanted to support the forum after seeing all the helpful discussions on it. I have lived in the countryside all my life and grown up using guns and go lamping quite a lot and wondered if anyone has any ideas of affordable fixed rifle lamps, (those which are attached above the scope). A lot of those i have seen are very pricey, even on ebay. I'm looking for one that will illuminate up to 100 meters with ease. Any help or information about your own lamps would be appreciated!
Henry

For that sort of range have a look at the Deben Tracer Range, good little lamps for shotgun, rimmie and air rifles.

The battery packs they sell are a little pricey and you can save money by sourcing them elsewhere, burglar alarm batteries are good.

yeah I looked at the deben tracer range, but they were expensive, and that's why i wondered if there are any other cheaper makes that i havn't found. I'll have to look round some gun shops in the area to see what i can find. Do you use one sanders?

I only use Lightforce now, but they are a little more expensive.

I did use a Tracer and it was fine for rimfire ranges but did not have the legs for centre fire use.

Cheers for the info guys. I'll be sure to check those out. I'm not going to have much of my student loan left after this! I'll probably have a look for those names at the gamefair. Is any one else going this year? I can only go if we're not harvesting in this neck of the woods!
