New to shooting
      #3381 - 02/07/2008 13:19

Hi all,

I am new to shooting and I am writing from Malta. Yesterday I went shooting and I was told to start shooting with both eyes open (master eye). I tried this and did good and i was concerned wheter this is the right method to shoot clays ? and how about hunting is the best way to shoot with both eyes open?

Thanks for your help

If you are right handed and have a right master eye then shoot with both eyes open. If you have middle vision or left hand master eye but are right handed then shut or squint your left eye as you mount the gun. If you pre mount then shut the eye as the clay comes into sight, that means see it for a split second with both eyes open then shut or squint.

As a coach my advice is get a couple of lessons with a good coach, he will sort you out.
