One gun for clays and game?
      #3662 - 24/08/2008 20:57

Hi,
I'm quite new to shooting and am interested in a Beretta 686E or a browning 525 sporter, both in a 12 bore.
I am mostly interested in competitive clay shooting but would like to do the odd bit of pigeon shooting and walked up game. Can these guns do this and also what sort of game loads could I use in them?
Thanks a lot,
Toby.

Both these guns are perfect for what you want to do with them. Find the one that fits you best an buy it.
Both guns will take anything you want to put through them in the game loads but you dont need anything above 32g of number 4 shot to kill anything other than a fox maybe.
Most common is 5-6s of 30g-32g but 28g will do it with a half choke, no problem.
And don`t forget to buy some snap-caps.+
Good luck.
