Hi all,
I'm trying to get some more info on a 12 bore Beretta that is for sale by someone on our local shoot. Having seen the gun yesterday 'S687' is enscribed under the receiver and a gold 'L' under the trigger guard. It's in very good condition & a lot lighter than my friends Silver Pigeon III. I was told it was 'one up from a Silver Pigeon' and was originally one of a matched pair. Looking at Gold Pigeons on the net it isn't one of those and as the seller only wants £500 for it I'm doubting it's a Diamond Pigeon ! Are there any other ways I can soundly identify the gun as the seller didn't know that much about it as he'd bought it off a friend. Any info appreciated but obviously I'll be going back for another look.
Thanks in advance, Neil.

Here's a review of the Diamond Pigeons - could give you some more information.
