Everyone has to start like that Chris but as long as you keep enjoying it, that's the main thing that far too many shooters these days forget.

We have all been there, the main thing is the enjoyment of getting out. I started doing reg shoots and competitions this year, and have come pretty close to last in some of them. the main thing is I have made some new friends and enjoy the day out, sods law when in the comp scores go to pot.
Can't beat having a day out shooting clays.

Another update! Went to a different shoot this weekend fairly local to me Gosport shoot, quite a muddy drive off road to the shoot area. ( my car was clean before before I started!!)
Nice local shoot slightly less competitive as wel,l just like minded people enjoying themselves.
My scores for that weekend improved! Got some good tips from fellow shooters really enjoyable day, only downside it was very cold, back to my local club next weekend! Cheers Chris

Well Mike George did ask if anyone was still awake!! Yes ive been out a couple of times, ( very cold!)
Sunday just passed did a sporting trap (50) I've never done one of those before but with the other members in the squad had a go, must admit quite enjoyed it my score was 16/50 so not that good however quite a few of the other experience shots where getting low 20s.
I would certainly have another go!
Next shoot for me is early January so just leaves me to say" Merry Christmas " and a "Happy new year"
    Regards Chris

Been a while since last posted, had the bug that everyone else seemed to have in the uk! spent most of the 10 days in bed!
Been out shooting a couple of times since Christmas 2 X sporting 50s on each day so that's another 200 gone through the gun at the local club, scores improving slowly, also the gun isn't as stiff as it was ( it was new )

Just back today the weather not that kind, still, been lucky since starting shooting, first wet day! So a thorough cleaning today another shooting session in a couple of weeks time cheers Chris

I love this thread as being a coach I like to hear how people are getting on with their shooting. Keep it up Chris.
If you are in Hampshire Chris we may well meet one day as I'm up around there from time to time or just inside the Wiltshire border if you come west a little anytime.
