Hi Robert thank you very much for you kind offer Owls lodge is only about an hour away from me.

Iam going to have a go on Sunday this week and see how I get on! Really looking forward to it, then I want to get as much practice as possible allowing for work etc.

As I haven't applied for my shotgun certificate as yet, I believe Hampshire police aren't very quick would this be a problem? Can I hire or do you provide a gun many thanks Chris

Its not much of a problem really but you need to get your application in asap as it will takes months to get processed.
I have guns coming out of my ears so there's no problem there either.

    Thanks, for the welcome,
I've disclosed my arthritis although it wasn't on the list, i answered no to the medical question but added this to page 6? But said it wasn't relevant, I also put down a speeding endorsement when I was 17! Approx 1972/3 , that was on a red licence if anyone remembers those! At least I can say I've been honest! Cheers Chris

Things are moving along, I think? My cheque has been cashed by Hampshire now, got another shooting day at Fareham Sunday next week so looking forward to that.
Will have to start looking for a gun safe now! Been advised to get a 4/5 size cabinet because it's easier to get a shotgun in also if the bug really bites more will follow!
Bratton sound comes up a lot new or used I suppose either will do, if anyone has a safe that they want to sell please let me know, thanks ( I presume it's ok to ask for this on the forum? If not please advise so I can either remove or post elsewhere ) keep you updated cheers Chris

Thats good because I've just picked up a RD7 plus, it's a 7 shotgun or rifle cabinet it's bigger than I was going to go for but I expect I can "grow"into it!!
It's a secondhand one however it's only 2 years old and is as new! A few minor scratches but nothing to worry about.
Paid 100 for it so I was happy it's the model with a key in the middle and has cylinder barrels looks very secure, all l have to do now is fit it!! Cheers Chris

Dammed heavy! Fitted now didn't take very long, if anyone can get that cabinet off the wall good luck to them!
Went to the Fareham club yesterday, I joined as a provisional member, shot another 50 my hands still felt OK afterwards as well ( arthritis).
I've tried several of the club guns the Browning 525 seems to suit at the moment but it's early days yet!
Funny as well had several different lntructors the one I feel more comfortable with I seem to shoot better with?
