I thought you might like to see punt guns in use by the bridgwater bay wildfowlers.

Maybe you should send the video to Hull and get them to release a 21 Kg Comp X, Rob

    Re: Punt guns

These are two video clips of my punt gun going off. I'm afraid the first has no sound - which is a shame - not too sure where it went to - but it does show a clean kill on the oil drum!!!.
The second has sound but was just a blank - so not quite so much whoooomph.
I'll get it right one day!

Great stuff! There was a poster on another forum a couple of weeks ago who asked if anyone shot ducks on the water and whether it was deemed sporting to do so!Some said it wasn't sporting, others were indifferent, but nobody seemed to have considered puntgunning. I don't think it's something the younger generation seem to know much of.

    Nice clip Oldfarmer.

Looking at the recoil it needs to be mounted on a Barge.

The old fireworks code springs to mind.

Light Blue Touch Paper and Run.

I have reason to believe most of the guns on HMS Victory were smaller than yours.
