Though parts are scarce(it's never stopped me mind)Winchester do a lightweight in the old 101 series.I had one once,cracking gun,and you would get one for less than 5oo quid.Second hand Beretta ultralights are quite an old model now also,so you could try www.gunstar.co.uk for prices,and www.avalon-guns.org also.I have no experience of the Khan,but I do of Lincoln.Good guns,made in Italy.

I have the Winchester 6500 mk2 with the light weight barrels. To this day it's still my favourite gun.

Henry, what's your budget ? It'll give us an idea of what you can buy at that price.
And which county do you live in ? Someone will point you in the direction of shop you can trust.

Hi guys, sorry for the delay - just got back from a three-day family crisis. I live in rural Lincolnshire Robert but my dream lightweight is going to have to wait a while as I now have other matters requiring my financial support. I will practice more handling my 7.8 pounder and perfecting my mount as you earlier suggested I think. I appreciate all your suggestions and will let you know how I get on.

In the days of £ s d you used to divide your gun weight by 96 to determine the suitable shot load required for that gun ie 6lb 12 oz (108 oz) gun divide by 96 = 1-1/8th ideal load for a gun that weight.
Bit of a change though now but good rule of thumb.
