Which Technique for Which Target ?

It can vary a little from shooter to shooter but in general most top shots will use as follows.:-

    Swing Through.

    Driven.
    Rabbits.
    Quartering targets.
    Teal.
Targets closer than 25yds but not less than 10 yds. (does vary a little)
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    C.P.S.A/Pull away.

Anything crossing over 30 yds.....Long crossers.
    Some loopers/battues.

    Maintained lead.

Over head target from behind. Don't let the target quite catch the muzzle.
    Some fast loopers/battues.

But apart from the overhead from behind target this method is generally used only for targets where you have a short window/time to shoot them....between two trees for example.
It takes years to master properly and is generally not consistent.
