    stalking binoculars

    Hi Everyone,

I know this has probably been done to death so apologies. I am looking for a new pair of binoculars. have decided on 8 x 42 and whilst I would love a pair of swarovski/leica/ zeiss the budget is stretched at that so have been looking at Zeiss conquest/ minox hg / meopta meostar.

Has anyone any views on these?

I am leaning towards the minox as the reviews are good but my one worry is the large chrome wheel on the top. Has anyone had issues with reflecting or flashing spooking the deer?

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers

I have used BSA binoculars with burris/ bushnell / pentax lenses for years . crystal clear & i aint frightened of getting them muddy, or dinged

I prefer a cheaper bino, i would afraid to take a swarovski anywhere,

But the 8x42 are the best to go for.

Sportsman Gun Centre have Leupold Coyote 10x50 Tactical Bino's on offer at 299.99 (RRP 599.99) they do have a mil dot reticle which is used for range finding which might put some off? Otherwise it's a good deal.
