Please forgive me if I've posted incorrectly. I'm new to your site & live in the US. I'm planning a trip to Scotland and would like to stalk deer. I understand this requires a visitor's forearm permit, a procedure I'm led to believe that ranks next to stealing the Crown jewels in terms of complexity. Assuming the proper procedures are followed, can I expect a difficult time in obtaining the license and subsequently entering the U.K. with a rifle? Yes, I'm aware that "loaner" rfles are available, but I build rifles professionally and much of the satisfaction of a stalk comes from using my own rifle. Thank you.
