New to shooting

Good Evening,

I am relatively new to shooting, had few lessons, and shot at several local shoots, but using a borrowed gun, I am now ready to purchase my own gun, i am just after a bit of help deciding what make, and how much you think i should spend, and whether 2nd hand guns are worth it?
