Firearm Law in Northern Ireland
      07/05/2008 15:41

I'm new to the site and don't currently have a gun or rifle, but I'm soon moving to Northern Ireland. Having previously shot rabbits on relatives farms and enjoyed clay shotting, I was hoping to get a .22 and a shotgun.

However, I think the firearms law is a bit different overthere. Also, I was told that having previously served a driving ban for speeding I was "socially unacceptable" and would be refused a licence despite having CRB clearance to work as a doctor.

I'd be grateful for any advice.

Thanks,

Graeme
